Day Two – website building with iPod touch

www.pocketsizedcomputer.com

Today’s challenge was to create a new website from scratch using the iPod touch. Using the Safari web browser, installing WordPress was easy, but customizing it on the touch screen is a pain.

This will be an experiment to see what I can do with just an iPod touch 4G. All of my computers are getting boxed up for the week and we shall see how the iPod works as a pocket sized computer!

Vlog – Plan for Future Videos

This is just me talking about some ideas for videos to make for the Carl Blemming Channel. Next up are some “how to” videos, plus a series on using a new iPod Touch as my only computer for one week. Also in the works is a regular segment called Ask Carl Blemming where you can ask any question and I’ll go find answers for you using my elite Google-Fu Skillz.

Feel free to ask a question in the comments!

Taking Responsibility for Global Warming

The host of the Carl Blemming Channel finally comes clean and admits to his role in causing Global Warming / Climate Change by moving the planet Earth to a slightly wider orbit around the Sun in February of 1989. This scientific experiment (which is documented here) involved using a rocket engine to increase the rate of snowfall in the Northeast United States. The Carl Blemming Channel apologizes to the residents of planet Earth for this inconvenience, and announces the Certificate of Carbon Offsets we obtained from this website in their name.

To download the certificate, right click on the thumbnail picture. (Mac users can use Control-Click) This will open a contextual menu. The menu will have an option that says “Save Target As…” or “Download Linked File As…” or “Save Link As…” When you select this menu option, a window will open asking where you want to save the file to on your computer. Select desktop or another folder you can easily find. Hit save. Once you have downloaded the file, go to the place you saved it to and double click the file to open it.

A story about discovering an amazing magic item at an estate sale, buying it for next to nothing, and then turning this artifact into an incredible money making machine! Unbelievable!
