Day Four – Streaming Video On iPod Touch

Video entertainment options for the iPod-only lifestyle are explored. Hulu Plus, Netflix, and YouTube are discussed. You can also get Apps for cable networks that let you watch some sample shows on your iPod touch. It’s great for watching stuff on the Internet, but responding to people is difficult through the mobile site versions.

Day Three – eCommerce Using An iPod Touch

I normally buy and sell things using my computer, so today I see how that works using my iPod touch instead. I find the eBay app to be good for buying but limited for selling. When I get stuff in the mail we can have an unboxing video!

Today’s challenge was to create a new website from scratch using the iPod touch. Using the Safari web browser, installing WordPress was easy, but customizing it on the touch screen is a pain.

Also in the works is a regular segment called Ask Carl Blemming where you can ask any question and I’ll go find answers for you using my elite Google-Fu Skillz.

Feel free to ask a question in the comments!

Taking Responsibility for Global Warming

The host of the Carl Blemming Channel finally comes clean and admits to his role in causing Global Warming / Climate Change by moving the planet Earth to a slightly wider orbit around the Sun in February of 1989. This scientific experiment (which is documented here) involved using a rocket engine to increase the rate of snowfall in the Northeast United States. The Carl Blemming Channel apologizes to the residents of planet Earth for this inconvenience, and announces the Certificate of Carbon Offsets we obtained from this website in their name.

To download the certificate, right click on the thumbnail picture. (Mac users can use Control-Click) This will open a contextual menu. The menu will have an option that says “Save Target As…” or “Download Linked File As…” or “Save Link As…” When you select this menu option, a window will open asking where you want to save the file to on your computer. Select desktop or another folder you can easily find. Hit save. Once you have downloaded the file, go to the place you saved it to and double click the file to open it.
