Can an iPod Touch really take the place of a laptop computer? My opinion is stated in this video, after spending one week using the iPod touch 4G as my only computer. Why did I do such a thing, and what is the result?

I enjoyed reading your posts on using the iPod Touch as a laptop replacement. This is the first review that did a realistic review on using the iPod Touch in place of a laptop.
This review was important to me because is it help me choose the iPod Touch over the iPad 2. To me the iPad 2 was the logical laptop replacement. Its decent sized, plenty of applications and very portable. Though, it cost too much for what it does and the large size in my experience negates the few benefits it has.
Large screen size is nice of the iPad 2 but I love that I can toss my iPod Touch in a bag and not worry about it being harmed. No matter how good a protective case for the iPad I couldn’t see my self casually toting any where without fear of breaking my $700 gadget. What the fun of owning it if I have to live in constant fear of breaking it.
Might as well buy a netbook then.
Which brings me to my point. I want to have access to email, browse the web, Youtube on the go. I have a low end Android phone that could do this. I have yet to find an Android phone that has a interface as good as the iPod Touch/iPhone . It can’t be beat . Throw in a few good apps and I have something that is highly portable and can meet all my computer needs on the go.
